At Belmont Community Church, our journey began in 2005, when a small group gathered in a living room with a common devotion - to worship Jesus Christ. From those humble origins, we've grown into a vibrant community, united by a shared mission: to create a space of worship and salvation for all. With unwavering faith, we've renovated a former church building on Belmont Ave and expanded to a second location, guided by our core values rooted in the inspired truth of God's Word. As we move forward, our commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ remains at the heart of everything we do.
History
2005-2007
Humble Origins
Belmont Community Church's story began in 2005 within the cozy confines of a living room. United by their devotion to worshiping Jesus Christ, the inaugural attendees experienced the power of songs and messages that left an indelible mark. Rapid growth prompted a move to a garage across town, signifying the emergence of a powerful church presence in the community.
2008-2016
Building the Foundation
With 16 original charter members at the helm, the church elected its first Pastor and Assistant Pastor, crafting bylaws rooted in biblical principles. Remarkably, the church's name, "Belmont Community Church," was conceived even before obtaining its initial building. Guided by Founding Pastor Bro. Gary Lambert, the congregation embarked on a journey to establish a permanent home. Alongside worship, a second goal surfaced - the desire to witness families finding salvation. Despite the challenges, the church restored a fire-damaged building on Belmont Ave, a testament to their unwavering dedication.
2016-2020
Continuity and Transformation
The legacy of Founding Pastor Bro. Gary Lambert persisted even as he transitioned out of the Lead Pastor role in 2016. After much prayer, Youth Pastor Hank Webb assumed the role of Lead Pastor, steering the church into an era of sustained growth. Ministries flourished, fueled by the enduring twin goals: worship and community impact.
2020-Present
Vision and Expansion
By 2020, Belmont recognized the need for expansion due to overflowing services. Initiating a capital building campaign, the church aimed for a new sanctuary. Providentially, an even more incredible opportunity emerged - a 7,000 sq ft sanctuary on 9 acres with a pond. This shift symbolized divine intervention, affirming the path forward. In 2022, the congregation seized this chance for growth, while still upholding the original Belmont Ave location.

Today, Belmont Community Church stands as a testament to unwavering faith and transformation. From modest living room beginnings to a thriving multi-location church, the heart of the mission remains unchanged: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.
